Project Description

The Project Bhagya Bokne Jhola, was initiated by Rotary Club of Kathmandu in collaboration with 10 other Rotary Clubs. The project supported 100 students of Shree Matedewal Janasahayogi Secondary School, Phalebas Municipality-4, Mudikuwa, Parbat and 62 students of Shree Changla Himal Basic School, Simkot-1, Chamla, Humla.
As part of the initiative, each student received a school bag, stationery, shoes, and sports materials, helping to improve access to education. The project specifically addressed the challenges faced by primary-level students from low-income families, who often miss school due to financial hardships. By providing essential school supplies, the program aimed to ease economic burdens, encourage regular attendance, and create a more supportive learning environment.
The project was implemented on 30 December 2025, in close coordination with the schools and local government, directly benefiting 162 students. The program was carried out in the presence of Rtn. Rajendra Gautam, President of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu; Rtn. Nila Hari Koirala, President of Rotary Club of Kathmandu Circle, Rtn. Rajaram Phuyal, President of Rotary Club of Gongabu, Rtn. Arun Sharma President Rotary Club of Kathmandu Height and Rtn. Shova Kumari Poudel President of Rotary Club of Balaju in Parbat. There was also the presence of Chairperson of Phalebas Municipality-4, Mudikuwa, Mr. Achut Tiwari during the event. Similarly, school materials were handed over to school representative of Shree Changla Himal Basic School, Simkot-1, Chamla, Humla on 2nd January, 2026.
